Spent a very happy 6 days here
We had a whale of a time at the Whale View Manor. Rooms excellent and staff superb & very friendly. Food (breakfast) excellent.
Pat and I spent a very happy 6 days here and we would be happy to recommend to anyone.
Plenty to do in the area with superb restaurants nearby - particularly recommend the Harbour House in Kalks Bay (about 10 kms).
We will be back soon.

Fantastic
Of all the places we stayed in the Cape Town area this was probably the most stylish.
Whilst they don't get the SA Tourist Board's 5 star rating - I would guess because of a lack of air con in the rooms - but we felt that this was a sacrifice worth making to stay in such an interesting and well-designed environment.
They also served the best breakfast - not so much in content (which was excellent everywhere) but, again, in terms of the stylish presentation.
Forget the Tourist Board - this got our 5 star rating!
