Kruger National Park
This world renowned game reserve is one of the largest in Africa which offers a true safari getaway. Cape Winelands
These spectacular vineyards produce some of the finest international wines and are surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. On offer are wine tours, which include brandy and cheese tasting. The area is rich in history and unique architecture known as the Cape-Dutch style. The wine route covers Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschoek.
Garden Route
This route offers exquisite indigo bays which carve into beautiful cliff faces and numerous quaint villages dot the shoreline. A lush rainforest runs alongside the coast and is home to the mysterious and rare Knysna elephant. Several activities include the Oyster festival, highest bridge bungee jump in the world (Bloukrans) and zip-lining through the forest.
Drakensberg
This breathtaking volcanic mountain range was given its name because of its dragon-like appearance. It is home to hundreds of caves containing 30,000-40,000 of the worlds oldest bushmen paintings, which can be viewed. Thus it has been called a World Heritage site. Horse riding, hiking, abseiling and rock climbing are just some of the activities on offer.
Cape Town
The mother city of South Africa is located at the tip of the African continent and its iconic Table Mountain has recently been inaugurated as one of the new 7 Wonders of Nature. The view from the top of the mountain, which is accessible via cable car or hiking, has been described as "one of the most epic views in Africa".
