HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
Horrific! This is not a guest house and should not be advertised as such.We walked in and walked out. It is disgustingly dirty. I did not even bother to request my deposit back - we turned and run.

Great host!
If you stay at Vulindlela Rooms you will find Patrick a great host, eager to attend to your needs, very friendly. He serves a very good, filling breakfast in the mornings at whatever time you need it, and he was eager to please as a host. We enjoyed our time there very much, peaceful and relaxing.

Great value
Vulindlela Rooms provides comfortable, clean accommodation at a great rate. Owner Patrick goes out of his way to accommodate his guests` every need from cooking specialized (and delicious) meals to taking guests out to local sites. Located in a safe area yet close enough to Ladysmith`s center, Vulindlela makes for the perfect bed and breakfast in the area. The best part of Vulindlela (apart from the price) is the personal touch Patrick and his family give to the guests. After a few days at Vulindlela, you will feed like you are part of his family!

Disappointed
The place is not worth for the guest to stay and it needs to be reviewed. I stayed because I have already paid in full. The stairs going to the rooms are very weak and can break at any given time, someone is going to get hurt there. The room was not cleaned the whole day until we can back around 17h00 when the owner only made up the bed. I was so disappointed and will never ever use any accommodation from Safari if you can allow such place to operate and put guests at risk of getting hurt

A friendly stay
We were four people in two rooms for four nights. A friendly place! It felt like we were a part of the family. We got recommendations were to go around Ladysmith, they let us park our cars in the garage and the breakfast was big. It wasn't a fancy place but we enjoyed the pool and the sparkling wine as they surprised us with. The house parrot was hilarious.

5 night B&B at Vulindlela
Possibly the worst B&B in South Africa.
We had to leave after one night with the owner promising a partial refund but after several E-mails no refund has been forthcoming and he no longer replies to my messages.The outside stairs to the rooms were split and very dangerous, the rooms were dirty, we had to sleep on our own towels as their sheets were dirty.
The clothes drawers had no bottoms in them, the electric sockets were completely overloaded hanging off the wall with bare wires showing and extremely dangerous, The list could go on forever. DONT GO.

Service at its best
We enjoyed our stay at Vulindlela with Pat and family. The rooms are basic and feels like home but the service was top notch. Will definately come back and recommend this place. And oh, the breakfast! Fit for a King. And a Queen.

I've struggled to find the right words to describe our experience at Vulindlela. "More than a home away from home" is the closest I can muster(not a cliche!). Thank you so much for for your warms. The kinds can't stop raving about it! For improvements, you may want to consider the following: chairs in the rooms, less visible electrical and tv cables; and smaller hotel type courtesy soaps.
