Not up to scratch
We were quite disappointed by this accommodation. There was not any linen provided and the linen that was available was not clean. We were told we should have brought our own, but this was not mentioned anywhere on the booking (only towels). The blankets were also full of dog hair. Being a pet-friendly establishment does not mean that the place should be a kennel, in fact it should be kept cleaner than ever. Other than that it is a nice place and affordable, but not sure about it being a 2 star.

I am speechless and astound by your review regarding Vinknessie.
No linen… Sir, when guests leave, I collect all the bedding (mattress protector, fitted sheet, comforter, pillow protector, pillowcases and blankets). It then gets washed and I iron them. Bedding is placed on the beds on the day that guests arrive to keep it ‘fresh’.
Kennel… I make sure that the place is hair free and disinfected as far as possible, especially because it is pet friendly.
I must say, as mentioned before, I am surprised by your experience. I am proud of my accommodation at Vinknessie. It is clean and fully equipped. Guests only have to bring their own food and towels as stated.

A breath of fresh air
We had a lovely four nights at Vinknessie. It was neat, tidy and clean and just the right size for myself and two friends to reload our batteries and catch up. Even the weather played along nicely, with as little wind as one can expect in Witsand. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape to the quiet little town of Witsand.

Cosy but very small
It is really nice cottage, but is very small for 2 adults and 2 kids, let alone 5 adults. The bathroom and kitchen are minute. If you are planning to be out and about a lot, then it will be great.

Vinknessie
We had a lovely stay, regret that it rained the whole few days that we were there.
The bathroom were too small. No bath, only shower, but so tiny. My husband is tall, so he really struggled to get in the shower.
