Thanks to a special team , Riana and Piet,Venter, Palmietfontein Guest House rates up there with the best you'll find. Wonderful setting, great hospitality, excellent views, including star gazing and spacious interior coupled with crisp and clean bedding linen and towels. I.e. the whole nine yards.
Only ONE problem though, a Safarinow issue: Safarinow neglected to update the website for Palmietfontein. The telephone number, as published, has been out of operation for some years already! This could have resulted in us driving away from a locked gate off the "Steynsburg road". Come now Safarinow, save clients and guest house owners future embarrassment and update information on websites?

Very dissappointing
Friendly and welcoming service but unfortunately there were a few complaints. The beds were very uncomfortable, linen was not up to scratch. There was a communal bath/ shower/ toilet for 9 people. No form of DSTV or internet and finally there was a dogs excrement found in the corner of the room. I sadly would not recommend Palmietfontein Guest house to anyone.

Awesome stay
We had a lovely stay, were friendly welcomed after a long drive and the new route directions is a must. The house is easily accessible from the N9, the Noupoort road. The rooms are super clean and neat. will return for sure.

Very friendly and warm reception and stay. Also quiet and away from the main road and town noises. Typical SA farm atmosphere and hospitality and also very reasonable - highly recommended.
