Nokeng eco lodge
thank you to the staff at Nokeng Eco lodge for the friendly service...we had a wonderful relaxing weekend at Nokeng.

disappointed
Turn -off is second one after the Elands River - not the first.
Minimal info available re the walks available and nothing on the birds/animals resident there.
Larval ticks a major problem on the walks- we each had 100+ attached larvae after a morning walk. Take along something like Bayticol aerosol to spray clothes before walking.
Pathways along the river could be cleared with a weed-eater as are overgrown in places.
Mosquitoes a problem- take along appropriate measures.
Water to Blinkblaar was a problem with very limited periods of hot water and often no water at all.
Chalet was fairly "Rustic" but comfortable.
Place is not "eco" as piles of builders rubble dumped in various places and no recycling obvious for waste disposal from the chalet.
Main pool area is great but needs cleaning up in the area.

Peaceful tranquil camping on the banks of the river.

Lovely
We had a lovely stay at Nokeng.
The staff are very helpful, especially Solly and Triphina.
We will be back and hopefully next time we will get to meet the owners too.

Excellent service and great management
Nokeng Eco Lodge is an amazing place to stay. Everything was just perfect from the cottage to the staff, the manager who was so helpful with everything, the breakfast was amazing and we got to eat at our cottage. It was bought to us. The owner is just as awesome. We will definitely be going back real soon.

Revamp
The reason that I am giving it two stars is that the facility/units need some revamping for it to be more homely. On a lighter note, its a nice hide away place from the bussles of the city and is quiet tranquil. We had a good time.

Although we do appreciate feedback, I really think that your comments and evaluation of Nokeng are totally unfair. You paid for a basic chalet but we have upgraded you to the luxury unit. If you want homely, I suggest you stay at home where you can decorate it according to your liking. Every venue has a particular ambiance, that is why guests choose to go there.
It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay but all our best wishes for 2013.
