We were three bikers heading towards Namibia for a two week trip and our first night was at the Namaqualand Lodge. Great hospitality, awesome steak and Mike has a wealth of knowledge of the area. Will definitely be back.

Misleading advert
The advert on the website says all meals included, this is NOT true! All meals are extra. Very misleading. Only kettle and cups in room, no coffee, sugar, etc.

Not value for money
The room was not supplied with things like water, coffees and teas, toilet soap. Toilet was not fixed even though we pointed out the problem - we were told just not to flush it during the night. Food not great and waitress uninformed about items on menu.

Country hospitality
I can truly recommend this lodge as a stay-over on your way to the Northen Cape or Namibia. It was an extremely hot day on the 21st of December 2012 and I was very grateful for the air conditioner in my room which worked perfectly well as was the hair dryer and coffee/tea facilities. The linen was fresh,the mattress comfortable, the shower hot, the pool crystal clear and the beer ice cold. Mike, the very friendly young man at reception was most helpful assisting me with my Kobo and offered a fresh pot of coffee on arrival. It was the 1st time that I was charged for safe parking, but I did not mind, because my car was packed.
