Great relaxing stay
We have spent 2 nights at Mogalakwena Lodge and have experienced a very relaxing stay, fantastic food and great service from Anna (Manager). We can absolutely recommend it, if you are not necessarily after the big five.

It is wonderful! the lodge looks wonderful. the staff is very friendly. food delicious. educative eco lodge. nice area to go for walks and see some wildlife and most of all relaxing by the stunning pool!

Beautiful and quiet lodge
The lodge is beautiful and quiet. You can relax en watch the animals down to the river. The staff is very friendly. The accommodation itself is lovely and comfortable. Good food. The walk with the giraffes was also very nice! I highly recommend this lodge.

A beautiful place to relax!
We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at Mogalakwena River Lodge and were only sorry that we had not planned for a longer stay! Anna and her side-kick Linah, did their utmost to make us comfortable and welcome! The accommodation was outstanding and the facilities on the banks of the river were well thought out and beautifully decorated... We can highly recommend a stay in this unpretentious lodge.

Unfortunately, our long awaited stay at Mogalakwena was interrupted by my father falling off his motorcycle and breaking his leg just 5 km from the lodge on our first day.
The hospitality and selfishless attitude of the staff was fantastic. They arranged for all our luggage, personal belongs and two motorcycles to be stored on the premises, whilst a staff member (Jandre) drove us the 200 kms to Polokwane for further medical assistance. We were met by Anna, the manger of the lodge, where she helped get my father booked and attended to. I would like to thank Anna, Jandre, Chris and Will for being the most amazing and humble people I have ever met, you guys helped without question and without thought. It made the situation so much easier.
Thank you guys, and thank you for allowing us to move our accommodation dates, so we can actually enjoy your awesome lodge in the near future.

Two nights at Mogalakwena
The place is tranquil and gives an experience of bush life. It is the best place for a retreat from the bustle and hustle of busy city life.
However one who goes there should be prepared to keep company with mosquitoes. The temperatures are quite high. It would help if mosquito repellents were also available and fans in all the rooms at Artist retreat.
