Lekkerwijn Guest House
Beautiful accomodation in a stunning homestead. Peter the manager was very informative and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Accomodation was very comfortable and well appointed. Everything that one would need was supplied. Animals were a treat, horses, potbellied pigs, goats and a very friendly welcoming dog. Will definitely return.

Rustic accommodation at a premium
We spent two nights at the self catering b&b unit. Postives: good location between stellenbosch, paarl and franschoek, friendly staff, lovely farm with lots of space and animals to keep the kids busy.
Negatives: in general the accommodation was not up to the price tag: some examples: the unit had lots of flies, the water pressure in the bathroom was weak, the room was dusty and the furnishings old. The general feel is of a quickly put together and not well maintained unit.

Our stay at Lekkerwijn Historic Countey House
We had a very enjoyable 4 night stay at Lekkerwijn. We stayed in the Camelia suite the bedroom of the original owners which was very comfortable. The staff were very good and helpful as was Pieter the Manager and Simon the owner. Simon also gave us an Historic tour of the House. We will certainly recommend it.

Old Fashioned Hospitality
Simon, the owner of Lekkerwijn went out of his way to ensure that our stay was informative, comfortable and happy. He is a most gracious host. The house and history are fascinating. Furniture, art work, and architecture all very interesting. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable with beautiful linen and a surprise hot water bottle popped in before bedtime! Very accommodating to kids and excellent, well priced babysitting available. Like entering a bygone era where life flows gracefully, personalized attention and attention to detail, tea trays by the fireplace are the norm not the exception!

We loved our stay at Lekkerwijn; the actual accommodation is so beautiful, with all the stunning furniture. Our room was beautiful, and we had all the amenities we required. And Simon made us feel so welcome - we will definitely be back!

Welcome on arrival was friendly and warm. Flowers were very welcoming and a thoughtful gesture. Accommodation good, clean, spacious and inviting. Peaceful, quite, hearing the birds in the morning! Wonderful. I will definitely be referring other to your place. Just love the animals!

Very authentic
What a wonderful uthentic place to stay in the winelands - If you like perfectly manicured this is not rhe place for you - but if you like real atmosphere and a taste of what Cape farms are really like - then this is the place for you.. the rooms were charming , the beds super comfortable, the breakfast delicious and the hospitality wonderful. We hope to return again soon.
