Terrible experience
We did not stay the night. Arrived in 37 degree heat. The first words were "oh my word you have dogs `i don't know what we will do with them but we will make a plan " - that is after I confirmed on two occasions whether the accommodation is pet friendly.
The experience went south from there and needless to say wasn't pleasant. We got in the car and drove on to JHB at 18:00 to arrive home at 02:00. So R900 wasted plus the time spent to get there from the N1.
Caryl needs to have a serious word with the manager - customer service was non-existent and extremely confrontational as they prepared dinner and we didn't stay. That was the biggest concern.

Wonderfully quiet and relaxing stay!
Even though I stayed there for only one night, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Lakeview.
An exceptional view coupled with a wonderfully quiet and tranquil atmosphere, made this place heavenly to stop at.
The warm welcome from Murray and Sandra, did not go amiss either- thank you both for your hospitality!

Stunning view
Lakeview is situated high above the edge of Gariep Dam and has amazing views. The accommodation was very comfortable and Murray was a most gracious host.

We received more than we could think. Very beautiful accommodation well cared after and definite “next time” visit for a peaceful holiday! The room is extremely comfortable and detailed. An Alice in Wonderland experience!

Breathtaking views
Breathtaking view of the dam. Rooms are exceptionally luxurious, very spacious. We had an awesome time, would definitely go back. A gem in the middle of the Karoo. Murray was very friendly, thank you!
