Lake Clarens Guest House
We had a good stay at Lake Clarens Guest House, Bruce runs a nice Guest House, the rooms are clean, the linen is clean and the rooms are decored out nicely.
The breakfast is first class and neither my wife nor myself could complain about the service at the Guest House.
We had one minor down fall, on Saturday evening we wanted to shower, however the water was cold. After a while I investigated and found the circuit breakers for the geysers had been switched off. As I could not find anyone around, I switched them back on so we could have hot water. Needless to say after an hour waiting, we had a warm shower each.
Otherwise we would recommend the Guest house and will return when we visit Clarens again.

Not quite sure how the 4 star grading was achieved but 2 star is more applicable. Hygiene standards poor - one of our rooms contained the previous guest's undergarment and hair on the bed linen.. TV not working. Noisy live music in the pub next door until late. Would not return.
