We stayed in a luxury room which was far from luxury the carpets, curtains sofa's and soft furnishings where all badly stained,hairdryer not working,stained sheets which when replaced didn't fit the bed,torn pillowcases,along with the overall appearance of the room was well below the standard of a supposedly ''boutique hotel''.The only redeeming factors where the public rooms,the staff and the history of the place.Very disappointing stay and not worth the prices charged.

Peaceful Oasis
Other then the Big Hole, staying in the club for a night was the highlight of our trip to Kimberley. Certainly got a sense of the history concerning building. The rooms were excellent, likewise the staff while the dinner and breakfast was also appreciated given the lack of alternatives in town. Bearing in mind what transpired at UCT, you can also see a bust of Cecil Rhodes if need be.

The place is oozing history. Quite memorable to have a G&T in the same bar where Cecil John Rhodes planned the colonial expansion up to the North. From now on my favourite stayover place in Kimberley, so much more character in comparison to a "normal" hotel. Good food, good service, great ambience.

Kimberley Club - 2 nights
My mother, my brother and myself had a great two nights at the Kimberley club.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. More than I have experienced at most hotels.
The rooms were large and comfortable.
We had breakfast and dinner for the two nights we stayed there and the food was very good indeed, especially the steak dishes in the evenings.
We enjoyed our stay at the Kimberley Club immensely.

Great history, beautifully preserved
This was our second visit. The first was good, but this was even better. The dinner was much improved and the quality and presentation of our meal was outstanding. Good, friendly service too. Staying there feels like a step back in time to a more gracious age, and everything is well maintained. Rather pricey, but worth it.
