It was our 2nd stay at the Karoopark Guest House. Enjoyed it once again.

Lovely Guest House
Wonderful and quiet Guest House. Room very clean and spacious.Great supper and a large choice of food, with very friendly and helpful staff. This was second visit and we were not disappointed.

Decidedly average
Every thing about this place was average no effort had been made in any aspect of the place. The room (room 1) was spacious and clean but the decor is unbelievably kitch and the mattress was very lumpy and in desperate need of replacement which meant that we had a terrible nights sleep before another long drive. Basically I found it over priced at R770 for 2 of us breakfast not included. Although we decide to have neither dinner nor breakfast there as the dining room had a distinct smell of old sweet which was a little gross. So although the room was clean I would not go back. And at that price it would have been nice to at least have a passable tea and coffee making facility in the room not just a kettle two bags of tea two satches of crappy Nescafé 2 satches of cremora (ew) and 2 white sugars! As I said the tiniest bit of attention to detail and a wee bit of effort could result in a place not quite so very average!

Value for money
We stayed overnight at Karoopark Guest House. The main house is a lovely old building, and the gardens are very pretty. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and overall it was great value for money.
