YOUR STAY was very nice, lost of detail to discover.

Great Getaway
Very lovely place to stay, was nice and quiet. really enjoyed our weekend away.
Only negative thing I have to say is...not good for low cars to go the gravel road / rock road, even though we were going slowly my tire still got sliced by the rocks.
otherwise will defiantly go back just in a higher vehicle.

It was amazing
When we arrived they owners Thomas and Brenda was absolutely fantastic. Showed us around and took us on a little tour. This whole weekend was amazing from the moment we arrived there. It is not fancy it is just what a person needs. From an outside toilet and bushshower. Its an experience and a half. I would recommend anyone to go have a look see whats so amazing. Next to Houtbosdorp is Tribe Adventours. So we still need to check that out but for us Sun City was the place to be. It was really quite. Just what you need to break away. Thank you

Hut is ontoeganklik en nie soos wat op internet fotos vertoon word nie. Uiters beperkte spasie. Op oog af nie baie aanloklik. Cater beslis nie vir die gesofistikeerde Toeris nie. Ons het nie van hierdie Akommodasie gemaak nie en moes R800 daarvoor inboet. Groot teleurstelling, sal dit nie vir Ander aanbeveel nie.

Houtbosdorp, are n nice place if you want peace and quietness,our first night were very peaceful but unfortunately the next night ( Saturday night) were not what we expected. There is a bord stating Silence are golden no noice after 23H00 at night.Saterday night there was a bachelor party right by our cabin,they made so much of noice that we wanted to pack our stuff and go home,the party carried on till half pass 3 in the morning.

Houtbosdorp was beyond amazing and it was exactly what my bf and i needed! We have been needing a break from the city for a long time, and this was the perfect place!!! Tranquility, the view, the cleanliness of the room, the homie and cozy feel, the braai area, everything was great and I will definitely be coming back for an even longer stay :)

A wonderful time out
Thank you to Brenda and to all the staff that made my stay there wonderful, they were all so helpful my room was clean and the bed was wonderful to sleep in, everything was great, always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was happy and had everything I needed thank you once again Brenda I loved it there a wonderful place to go if you're looking for some real bush RNR.

We didn't enjoy our stay it was so horrible, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Our clothes were stolen which we reported to the owner in the morning but she didn't act immediately as she took her own time. We phoned the police and they came to assist us. There was no security so it was really poor.

Baie dankie vir n heerlike naweek by julle. Die chalets is silwer skoon, ruim en die beddens slaap heerlik. Dis net ongelooflik warm binne die hout huisie. Die badkamer is skoon en het altyd warm water. Brenda en haar personeel is baie vriendelik en behulpsaam. Sal enige tyd weer gaan. Volgende keer net met n 4X4, die grondpad is nie van die beste nie. Dis rustig en stil en baie mooi daar.

Value for your money
Relaxing atmosphere , Gravel road a bit annoying but what do you expect to find travelling up a mountain. Hehe.
Enjoyed the stay , comparing the tariff to comfort . Definitely value for your money.

Break away from your daily routine
If your are looking for a place to stay for a weekend that is filled with your daily luxuries - stay home or get a Hotel. Houtbosdorp is for us who wish to get away from your daily routine, awaken by fresh bushveld air and early mornings bird song, mountain hiking and have a open fire breakfast etc. Cabin was neat and clean, kitchen was equipped with all you'll require for your weekend stay, bathroom facilities was neat clean. We will be back soon for another long weekend stay. Great stay, friendly people, thanks Thomas, Brenda and Suzette you have an awesome place going.

die grondpad is so erg om daar uitekom
ek het onder my kar skade gekry...
die plek is soos vir backpackers,, buite toilette geen kombuis in die plek nie net n 4 kant waar jy vasgehok is die kombuis is in n tent buite waar jy met ander mense moet deel.. die plek was so warm binne moes die heeldag buite sit.. die beddens waarop jy slaap is soos n kanoo ingedyk ,ek het tot rugpyn die volgende oggend gehad ... die houtplankies van die lokasie hut is so din en wind waai daar deer die nag.. vir die selfde prys kry jy meer waarde as die plek,, ek sal niemand aanbeveel om soontoe te gaan nie....

Overall experience was excellent, service was great and had so much privacy and freedom even made friends with Spikey (the dog). Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere and environment very peaceful and relaxed. There is also so much to do in the area. Best experience ever. The only challenge is the gravel road but also I think that make that place unique.

Despite the fact that we experienced a power outage on the Friday night and power was only restored at 13:00 on Saturday, we really enjoyed our stay at Houtbosdorp. We will be returning!!
