John birthday surprise 19th September 2015
Belinda and Dean are awesome hosts and made us feel so welcome from the time we arrived to our goodbyes as long lost friends. Coming back after so many years was a delight as the whole experience was 100% improved, from the beautifully furnished rooms to the wonderful meals eaten. Congratulations to Belinda and Dean for making my husbands birthday surprise such an awesome experience.

Lovely setting in the Natal Midlands
We enjoyed a wonderful break at Hawklee House recently. The facilities are good with wonderful walks along the river and the owners and staff are extremely caring and service orientated. We will definitely return. We stayed in Otter cottage which is fairly private and has a lovely Jacuzzi bath, good shower, heaters for the cold and full sports channels on DSTV - a bonus!

What a lovely place! We will definitely return, we enjoyed every minute. Dean and Belinda make you feel at home and are so welcoming. Overall we had a great time and do not hesitate to reccomend Hawklee to our friends and family.

Home away from home
Cosy neat relaxing environment. Crisp clean country cottage rooms and the hosts Dean and Belinda always inviting and welcoming putting their guest first. We enjoyed the tranquil surrounding and feeling rejuvenated, living life at Hawley Country House.

Nice, but the rooms were freezing
The hosts were great, and the rooms were neat and tidy; but the rooms were freezing. Even with the room heaters, we were shivering the whole night.
If they buy more heaters, I would highly recommend it.

Night in the Mallard (Honeymoon Suite)
The location is stunning! We walked all the way to the top of the hill where the views are spectacular. If I could give some form of constructive criticism, it would be good to have a table with chairs in front of each bungalow. We took our lunch back to the bungalow and had to eat on the stairs balancing our wine glasses on the grass. A bit of privacy between the bungalows would have gone a long way, and being the honeymoon suite, we expected a fireplace and candles next to the spa bath ...... Other than that, the food is wonderful and the hosts are great.
