Worth the visit!
We decided to stay over in Volksrust rather than Wakkerstroom - what a good choice it turned out to be. The accommodation was such a treat - a friendly hostess who truly goes the extra mile to make her guests welcome. Taking a longer route to Durban was truly worth our while and the countryside surrounding the areas is truly beautiful.

Unique B&B
We really enjoyed our stay at Gilbert House B&B. The house is quite unique and interesting. Accommodations are very comfortable, and the breakfast was extraordinary. Magda was a wonderful host. Location is close to restaurants and many battle sites. Perfect place for a stop over when traveling from Johannesburg to Durban or St. Lucia. Would definitely recommend this B&B.
