Overnight stay
Our overnight stay was pleasant.
Facilities were adequate but not generous.
A little coffee table, hooks on the doors and 2nd towel rail would be appreciated.
The shower door knocking against the wash basin is bad design.

We always sleep over on our way to Cape Town. Rooms very clean, and staff very friendly.

The staff on duty was extremely helpful. The air-con in our unit did not work properly and she tried her best to help us. The unit was clean & tidy. I can recommend Gables Inn for an overnight stay.

Never again
No! Doors slamming, I could hear the unit next to me every movement. 4am banging doors taps opening and closing.
No water in the morning when I questioned them I was told the municipality switches off the water at night, why
were we not told? Never again.

We found that the first room we stayed in was great but on our return room we were given was dirty and smelt of a sewerage, overfan/extractor in bathroom was also not working.

Unpleasant Stay at Gables Inn
After a very long day on the road, all I wanted was a nice hot shower and a clean place to sleep. I regret to say, this was not the case. The shower didn't work. The bar fridge were broken (unable to put our ice packs in for the next morning). The towels were in a pathetic state(holes in it). We have been going to Gables Inn for many years, and I must say the place has gone down a lot.

Ideal overnight stop, close to highway.
Basic amenities provided, have always found rooms clean. Have been staying over at Gables in since 2001 on a regular basis, and will keep on doing so. Rates affordable. If you dont want luxury, yet a good rest, this is it. Vehicles are also safe.
