Fire Thorn Cottage

What can I say, words can't begin to explain how elated I am. We had a very pleasant stay at Fire Thorn! The house which is spacious was very neat and had all the resources we needed. It was a home away from home. Other than the damaged ironing board and the light bulb in the outside room not working everything was perfect. The group ranged from age 2 to 67 and each and everyone of us had a marvelous time! We enjoyed braaing, playing pool and sitting on the porch whilst taking pictures of the magnificent views. We loved seeing the animals, being surrounded by nature and the smell of fresh air in the mornings. The staff were very professional and very friendly starting with the security guard with his great sense of humour and pleasant jokes he made. We looked forward to seeing him each time we drove out and came back from our daily excursions. The receptionist was also very helpful and informative. The cleaners were patient with us and very cooperative. We enjoyed the morning cruise on our last day and the boat driver was such a humble soul. We felt very welcome and at one point thought of staying one more night - If only we didn't have to go back to work the following morning! We have enjoyed our stay so much so that we are planning to return to Fire Thorn - Hopefully in the near future. Thank you for everything. We will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

The cottage is just marvelous. I am so glad that I celebrated my 35th bday there. Accomodation is well equiped, most activities are nearby, Graskop, Kruger, the boatride were wonderful, just what the doctor ordered. To say that we had a great time is an unserstatement. Lizel, Thank You for the hospitality. Thank You to Hulala management as well. Will definitely visit again.
