Fat Pony Backpackers & Riding Centre

We would like to thank Lorna and everyone at the Fat Pony Back Packers for a wonderful stay and for making us feel so at home Lorna your laugh is so contagious and Alan for letting me use the internet to keep up to date on my email and for all the help in our directions when we did not know how to get somewhere. I really don't know where the fat pony was but we all enjoyed ourselves especially Petrus my son, I think he wishes he was back there. We stayed at the Fat Pony with some friends and had a fun time. On arrival, we were helped by one of the riders and directed to check-in. As we walked into the kitchen, we were greeted by a girl using the oven to bake treats. The room was cool and the campsite a large lawn. The outdoor braai area is great for entertainment and protected from the sun by a huge shady tree. My friends say they can tick off camping in Kraaifontein from their bucket list. The establishment is actually surrounded by large plots and farms and located in Joostenbergvlakte. They have a great communal area and feature movie entertainment and music from time to time. We had a great stay and recommend it if you are looking for a laid-back and super friendly place to stay.
