Eden of Africa Guest Lodge cc

We were booked into the downstairs room which is clearly given Cinderella status. We were right next to the kitchen where activities commenced at 6am each morning. The room had cups and tea supplied but no kettle; a heater with no plug; and the bathroom basin could not be used because the outlet was blocked. When the handle to our bedroom door broke, we were given a pair of pliers to carry with us at all times in order to be able to open our bedroom door. The owner and staff were friendly but I believe that more could have been done to make our stay more agreeable. I would have walked up to Pick and Pay and bought us a kettle! I am aware that the upstairs rooms are attractive with a wonderful view. Probably if we had booked one of those our experience would have been quite different. The downstairs room should probably not be rented out.

The lodge is neat and tidy. Nice communal lounge upstairs with balcony to enjoy the view. It's also very close to the beach. Parking is outside on the sidewalk, but the streets are safe. Unfortunately personal attention and the hospitality for me was poor. I wasn't even informed of when breakfast would be served, and left when I saw that nothing was happening.
