Columbus Guest House

They are very friendly and caring. Very good rooms and are very well looked after. Have very good/excellent landscape to die for. Very close to nature. Pity could not enjoy all that fresh breeze and to watch the horizon also the rising sun as the name so tell, Mpumalanga.

Our stay at Columbus was a big disappointment! We had no warm water on our arrival, and not the next morning either. Even after they have fixed the water problem, it was till only luke warm!!! The shower cap was broken. The power tripped, and there were no safety lights, my husband had to struggle to reception in the dark for help. The room was full of musquitos, we had to 'debugg' it before we could sleep there. The waterboiler was full of insects. At breakfast we couldn't choose brown bread, the milk was bad, we had to send it back, and I couldn't get anything else to eat as I mentioned that I don't eat pork..but by the third morning they could fix chicken. They used cheap coffy that was as weak as tea. We will defintely not stay there again, and will tell all our friends abaout the bad service! Security is non existing, there are no gates infront of the guest house. The cars are unprotected.
