Good service but bad rooms
The lady at the reception was very nice and friendly. The rooms however need definitely an upgrade and some renovations. We slept in a huge bed but the bed spirals stood out and made the night uncomfortably to sleep in. I spotted a couple of cockroaches in the room. After a long journey I was looking forward to using the pool which was not really clean and so I did not jump in. We requested a cot that was not provided. I would not come back to this guesthouse or recommend it to someone else.

Convenient location and nice people
I would recommend the Boikhutsong Guesthouse. Not fancy, but very pleasant and staff is very helpful and nice. Good breakfast. No restaurant, wi-fi, or internet. Ask about nearby restaurants because they are not obvious. Nearby small shopping center was surprise and almost anything you need you can get there. Proximity to Phaleborwa gate makes it great pick.

Nice pool area
The 'king size' beds were just two singles pushed together, taking up about 90% of the room. The mosquito net, clearly intended for a single bed got in the way so much we had to take it down. The bathroom was cramped, with a tiny basin and only a bath. Aesthetically, the rooms do not come close to the pictures.
The pool area was surprisingly nice, with deck chairs and lots of little tables and chairs.

My brother and I enjoyed our stay at Boikhutsong Guesthouse and for me personally, I must say the management, office and support staff are a hospitable bunch of sociable people, both as individuals and as a team. I look forward to staying at Boikhutsong again when I visit Phalaborwa in the future.
