The Best Place to Stay in Aliwal North!
I have just spent fourteen days at Badfontein Guest Farm and I can truthfully say this is the best place to stay in Aliwal North. There simply is NO other place that beats it for peace, tranquility, value for money etc. I will highly recommend it to anyone wanting a wonderful breakaway - Ron Sampson (Uitenhage).

A great disappointment
We did not stay at Badfontein Guest Farm because the camping site was in a terrible state. How this site can be advertised we would like to know. You can't even see the river from the camping site an the road to the camping site is in bad shape. We met the owner on our way out and she said we can reclaim our deposit from Safari.com.

Wholesome farm stay
We stayed overnight at Badfontein Guest Farm. This was really such an enjoyment for the children - new experiences e.g. the sulphur swimming pool (a first for them) and playing in the mud on the banks of the Orange River. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Can definitely recommend especially to families.

Overnight stay 14 December 13
I will not recommend it to anyone.
The website (Bergfontein) is a total misinterpretation of the place.
It was very noisy that night untill 01h30.(Farmworkers)
It should be advertised as a bush camp with bush camp facilities
