Hunting Disappointment

Our first impression was awesome.  The tents are beautifully set up on a damn with stunning views and when you look around there are Eland, Impala and Waterbuck in your sights - what a little Eden away from the City.

Very sadly however we found that Crossbow hunters were hunting within the perimeter that we were walking around in (approx. 500m radius around the tent area). 

Africamps website speaks of its love of animals, however they feed the animals and allow hunters to sit at waterholes (in a bird hide)  and near feeding areas and hunt the animals with crossbows. Not only is this a reprehensible hunting practice but I do not think it is safe for the many children running around in the area.

Absolutely incredible place
Spent 2 nights in tent #1. It was beautiful the service was amazing! And the views are beautiful. The fire place inside the tents makes it really warm and cosy for cold winter nights. The bathroom is great and shower is super fun! We had an amazing dinner at "The black swan" restaurant down the road. They offer a free shuttle service to and from the restaurant. Which was very handy.

Top class stay highly recommended.

Amazing!
Unfortunately we only got to stay in this amazing place for one night but it was perfect! The host was very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we vist Oudtshoorn.

Fantastic setting
the tents are luxurious and situated in beautiful surroundings. A pity that we couldn't visit the farm itself since the tours were fully booked. So we had to go to one of the show farms in the neighbourhood. Tap water not drinkable and fridge too small for self catering.
Host was very friendly and we had a great walk in the domain seeing a variety of deer.
